We have partnered with Project 658 for over eight years. Since inception, they have been considered the “gateway non-profit” in East Charlotte. 10 years ago they began a small clinic to serve the increasing medical needs among refugees in East Charlotte. The clinic has recently rebranded as Hope Community Clinic and established a new space in East Charlotte. FHC funded an Impact report to help them tell the story and provided a significant donation ($40,000) to support upfit of the new facility. They currently serve over 4,000 uninsured or under-insured patients through integrative health, including medical, mental health care, and spiritual counseling. Numerous congregants and Bridge Groups served with Project 658 during 2022.

Seven years ago we began a strategic partnership with KDEC, the largest evangelical church in the Middle East, based in Cairo, Egypt. Our Christmas Eve offering in 2016 funded a new church plant in New Cairo, the new capital of Egypt. In early 2022, they reached an agreement with a developer to build a permanent home within a major new development in a prime location. Our generosity helped secure the down payment on the new church facility. We made a $140,000 investment in 2022. KDEC New Cairo is well positioned to reach deep and wide into a largely Muslim context and be a shining light for the Gospel.

Since 2014, we have partnered with Urban Promise whose mission is to Reach a Child, Raise a Leader, Restore a Community. We launched their first site at our South Blvd campus, which has produced incredible fruit among high school, middle school, and elementary kids. In 2022, we provided a $150,000 matching grant to help them establish their fourth site in the Hidden Valley neighborhood in North Charlotte. The grant was matched within 3 weeks! Through their four sites, they engage high school students as “Street Leaders”, who run after-school and summer camp programs for over 400 kids.

BlackBox is a dynamic new ministry focused on equipping and deploying non-Western missionaries for the underground church. These missionaries serve in many closed countries- Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, North Korea, India, Bhutan, and Nepal. BlackBox has established a training center in The Middle East, strategically positioned in the region. Our investment of $90,000 in 2022 helped BlackBox launch the new training center.

We collaborate with BraveWorks and Project 658 in East Charlotte with a Jewelry Project, engaging refugee women in making jewelry that is sold through various channels. BraveWorks, formerly known as Fashion & Compassion, was birthed out of Forest hill in 2012 and we remain their largest donor.
WHERE ARE WE HEADED IN 2023?

Who is the one person that you can come alongside this year and share the love of Christ through the Gospel?

Our teaching team will be walking us through three books of the bible (an epistle, a gospel, and an Old Testament book) verse-by-verse as we study together and dive deep into God's Word.

We are committed to multiplying the Kingdom here in the Greater Charlotte area in 2023. This could be through a partnership with an existing church, a new church plant, or a new FHC campus.
